Verify a Place

You must be an administrator of the active Account, and that Account must have owner access to the Place. Only one request can be open for a Place at a time.

The request belongs to the Account that submits it. If another Account also governs the Place, it cannot see the request's status, reason, or evidence.

From an unverified Place's home page, choose Verify this Place, explain the Account's authority, and add at least one piece of evidence. This might be proof of ownership, a management appointment, an official register, or a document linking the address to the Place.

Databitat accepts PDF, JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, HEIF, and plain text files up to 20 MB each. Once the request is submitted, its documents are locked and enter review.

Evidence does not become part of the Place's ordinary memory and is never published. It is available only to people in the requesting Account who can still govern the Place and to the authorized Emissions SL review team.

Review does not grant access to Notes, Cards, Chats, Dossiers, or any other private Place content. Provide only the personal data needed to establish identity and authority.

A request moves through Draft, Submitted, and Under review. The Account may withdraw it while it remains Submitted; once review starts, only Emissions SL can resolve it.

Every approval or rejection requires a reason and records the date and decision-maker. At this initial stage, Emissions SL coordinates each outcome manually; Databitat does not yet send an automatic resolution notification.

If approved, the Place becomes verified. If rejected, it remains private and the reason explains what is missing; a new request can be prepared later.

The request page always retains its status and decision for the requesting Account, even if the original Place is ultimately merged.

If Databitat identifies another record for the same physical space, approval may absorb the submitted Place into the canonical one. Memory, access, and relationships are moved without erasing their provenance.

Old links lead to the canonical Place. The original request remains available to explain the merge and provide a direct link to the result.

Verification makes public identity available but does not publish the Place automatically. After approval, an administrator of the owner Account may reserve its handle.

This keeps two decisions separate: Emissions SL confirms the canonical Place, and the Account decides whether it wants a public address and which name to reserve.
